CORTE v5 GENERAL FEATURES

Welcome to CORTE5, the new version of our optimization program that offers www.CorteOptimo.com, thanking you in advance for your interest in our product.

The cutting optimization software Corte5 introduces significant changes and improvements over previous versions. Among others are:

1. EXTENDING THE MAXIMUM LIMIT OF UNITS OF MEASUREMENT: Based on changes in the algorithm and its data types, significantly increases the maximum allowed for units of measurement custom.

2. MINIMIZE COSTS IN ADDITION TO TRADITIONAL OPTIMIZATION THAT MINIMIZES WASTE: This powerful facility allows you to generate cutting plans to minimize the total cost of materials consumed.
To make the optimization of costs should assign a cost per unit area (Cost AU) to each type (ID) of material in this release. The unit area is defined in a personalized way from the unit of measurement. Both units need not necessarily coincide. (accessed Tools-> Options)

3. NEW FORMAT FOR THE LAN FILE: The Corte 5 launch (LAN) files have a new format that significantly reduces the amount of memory needed for its disk storage. Although Corte 5 can read ancient launches, new releases generated will no longer be compatible with earlier versions of the program.
If you already isa Corte user, we recommend backing up your LAN Files before evaluating Corte 5

4. PARAMETERS REFERENCES FOR MATERIALS AND PARTS: Now you can configure the descriptive text of materiales or pieces in the different views of the launch. (Go to Options-> Launch-> formatted text)

5. CUSTOMIZATION OF THE RESULTS: In addition to the parameterisation references, can decide what information to include in the Sheet Results (access View-> Fields, View-> Totals). All fields that define the material is suitable for possible inclusion in the results sheet.

6. AUTOCAD DXF DRAWING EXPORT: Corte5 allows you to generate DXF drawings for AutoCAD 2000 directly from inside the working environment, so you no longer need and AutoCAD installation to export Corte's cutting patterns.
The export of AutoCAD drawings is improved significantly with respect to previous versions of Corte:
- AutoCAD's units are configured the same as Corte's units and so the drawing dimensions represent actual measures.
- Label texts are exported as seen in Corte.
- AutoCAD's filling patterns are created for Corte's offcuts.
- Different layers are created in AutoCAD for semi-product cuts, part cuts, offcuts and texts.
Note: Once loaded in AutoCAD, the DXF drawing generated with Corte may need a "Zoom All" for display.

8. INTRODUCTION OF A SEVERAL INSPECTORS FOR THE LAUNCH ITSELF AND ALL OF ITS OBJECTS: The inspectors significantly improve the interface of the program by making it much more intuitive and flexible, providing a great extent both for reading results and introducing data.

Update 5.4.0.19 includes:

1. Support for programmed plugins.
A sample is the new option "Copy offcuts", accessible from Tools menu, which allows to copy reusable offcuts as materials in the active launch.

2. New fields for reading calculation results are added in data sheets.

3. Customization of visible fields in data sheets with a table view.
You can configurate sheets of the program to enter or read information at your own and also prepare output tables fully customized (View->Customize sheets).

4. Excel import/export improved.
a) Import of Excel tables is realized faster.
b) All data sheets are enabled for Excel export.

5. The old Results Sheet is renamed as Solution Sheet.

6. The new technological option "Cuts per pattern" limits the maximum number of cuts in a pattern.

7. The new "Trivial" rounding mode.
This mode rounds pattern repetitions to their nearest integer without considering exact order fullfilment. It could be useful when variability in order fulfillment is allowed for it tends to reduce the number of patterns.

8. Fix a bug in offcut labels enumeration.

9. Fixes a bug in automatic pattern adjustment which could be preventing a better distribution of the offcut.

Update 5.3 includes:

1. Improves handling customized units.
a) Dimension values in launch file are no longer in Corte 5 internal format but user measurement format.
b) Fixes the bug "Incorrect measurement format" when reading feets and inches from old Corte 4 launches.
c) Manual control of the position of the unit symbol by inserting spaces at the begining of its definition.
2. Improvements in the inteface.
a) The recommended parts list in the Pattern Inspector is sorted in decreasing order of the yield percentages.
b) The current pattern view is updated immediately after changing configuration of labels, environment or measurement units.
3. Improves working with user accounts.
a) Repeating product registration for different users in the same PC is no longer needed. Corte 5 registration should be realized just once by any user with administrator rights.
b) The installation language is activated for all user counts.
